Marketing Specialist Job Description

901 Fund is hiring a Marketing Specialist to join our team. This role will be primarily focused on supporting NIL initiatives for U of M student-athletes. You will also be required to learn new skills that will help with marketing campaigns for other clients.

Responsibilities for Marketing Specialist

  • Develop, implement, and track marketing programs such as email, social media, or digital campaigns, and events
  • Contribute to and track fundraising efforts  
  • Identify and engage partner charity targets
  • Guide partner charities in the planning process
  • Manage the creation and distribution of NIL deals in the Opendorse portal
  • Oversee completion of NIL activities and approve them in Opendorse portal
  • Facilitate student-athletes understanding and engaging in NIL opportunities
  • Write, proofread, and edit creative and technical content across different mediums
  • Work with external agencies and vendors to execute marketing programs
  • Complete skill development courses and be able to translate those skills in practice (email marketing, Ad Word campaigns, social tools, etc.)

Qualifications for Marketing Specialist

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills
  • Outgoing, friendly personality
  • Excellent critical and creative thinking skills
  • Skilled in writing and editing content with attention to detail
  • Ability to travel as necessary
  • Availability for occasional events on nights and weekends
